Vehicle Description

1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 LT/RS Coupe. This is an original Z-28 identified on the body tag - not a clone. 100K original miles, originally sold in West Virginia, came to Arizona a couple of years later. Engine: American speed built 383 cid "Enforcer 425". Dynoid at 443 HP, 500 11/ft. torque, dyno slat available. Built with new block, Edelbrock Performance RPM heads. Edelbrock air gap intake, see American Speed website for engine build details, Z-28 valve covers. Install 12/02, approximately 4,000 miles on the engine. Transmission: 700R4 overdrive built by Bow-Tie Overdrive. 2000 RPM stall lock-up torque converter. Includes Corvette serves and extra clutch discs. Was installed with Bow-Tie Overdrives custom kit including a manual cross member that bolts to original subframe holes, special T.V. cable to carbeurator adjusting brackets. Custom built stainless steel cooling lines and transmission temperature guage. Shifter has ditent plate to included overdrive. Rear End: Stock Z-28, 373 psi with a cast aluminum mar cover with differential carrier bearing support bolts. Stock Z-28 rear stabilizer bar. Suspension: Stock Z-28 except 1-1/4" front stabilizer bar (I have the original). KYB shocks, all new ball joints. Polyethelene control arm bushings and body mounts stock Z-28 wheels. Body: Original color orange with white stripes. Paint is 5-6 years old, has a few door chips. Has no rust throughs. Floor pans and trunk are solid, new rubber seals and bumpers throughout new window felts. Interior: I was unable to find the LT "comfort weave" seat covers so the seat weave received in two different textures to simulate the original. The front seats have new back and bottom foams. New carpet and sound dead cover. New dash upper piece. New rear shelf cover behind back seat. Side panels had fabric replaced. All in original colors. Instrumentation is original and all works except the clock. The heater core developed a leak last summer and my long term plan was to install a "vintage air" air conditioning and heater under dash system. The headliner is original.

When I bought this car in '98, I expected to keep it forever and worked on it according to a plan witht hat in mind. The car is a very nice fun car to drive and own. It gets many comments evertime I take it out. The reason I'm selling it is about a year ago I realized that since I'm really an "airplane guy" and not a "car guy", I needed to shift my focus so now I am involved in re-building a 1967 Cesna 172, so the car must go as I don't have time for both projects. The car also has power steering and brakes, AM/FM-single CD with premium sound, premium wheels, dual exhaust and a rear spoiler. Original manuals are available. Offered for only $12,000.00.
