Gene
took this lime green classic two door, and turned it into
a power house with a mirror like shine, a true master piece.
The Nighthawk black in color with the ghost flames on the
hood flow down each side tipped with a hint of color.
A winner of the special event at the world of wheels in
Birmingham Alabama, 2006 won employee choice at Eckenrod
Ford, Cullman Alabama, and featured in the American Streetrydes
magazine.
It took 5 years, a lot of hard work and tears but what a
beauty. She’s only been to a few shows; she is still
one of the best keep secrets around waiting for a loving
owner to take to her limits.
The motor is a 351 Cleveland bored out to .030, your love
the rumble when you turn the key and what power. With a
750 Holley carburetor, Painless wiring harness, Edelbrock
intake manifold, Mallory Comp. 110 fuel pump, and the chrome
radiator from becool, who could resist.
Yellow top Optima batter that keeps you running like the
energizer bunny, this baby has power, and speed.
Though she’s never been down the track, she is fitted
with four link ladder bars for your safety; Built by David
Lemons a runner of drag street cars. The narrowed 9”
ford rear end, coiled over suspension, Moser axles/4:11
gears, Auburn positive traction, Wilwood disk brakes (all
four wheels), the Monocquue rims, and the (31x18.5) Mickey
Thompson tires really bellow out the smoke when burning
rubber.
Although this baby is made to race, you can enjoy a Sunday
drive in the original seat with comfortable light gray leather
interior. Shifting is made easy with 4 speed Hurst shifter.
The gauges and dash were kept original, dressed out in black.
The stereo system rocks but doesn’t cover the sound
of the rumble of the engine. The doors are original also,
just on opposite sides. What do I mean, you may ask? The
doors are suicide which of course adds just a little more
interest, intrigue and class to this one an only beauty.
Where ever you are heads will turn, from the moment you
start her to the time you stop her. I hope you like to brag
about her because you can’t spot for gas without someone
coming over to talk to you.
Its just one of though times you can sit back and know all
the talk is nothing but good.
I hate to part with her, but my interest have changed to
motor cycles at this time and I hate to just park her.
