one lucky buyer. I am selling this for my brother that lives
in Colorado, he is the third owner and knows the previous
owner who knows the original owner that bought the car new
in 1955. This Del Rey has 47463.9 Original miles, the two
previous owners have verified that the mileage is correct
and that it has never been in a wreck or an accident, it
has been stored for 20 years and was running when it was
parked, all of the interior is original from the headliner
down to the carpet including all instrumentation, the second
owner had the car re-painted to the original color so it
has only had two paint jobs ever done, the original and
the second, the bumpers and exterior chrome will need to
be taken off and re-chromed, it has a 283 with headers and
a holley 4-barrel carb that will run with a little effort,
the original motor went by the way side long ago, it has
the original two speed power glide, rims and hub caps, the
car is still straight as an arrow as you can tell from the
photos and would be a beautiful restoration. here is a little
history on the rarity of the Del Reys'. Back in 1955 there
were only 25,000 of them produced on the assembly line that's
why you rarely see a Del Rey on the road today. as compared
to the Bel-Airs' there were over 325,000 of them made, they
came in 2dr, 4dr, hardtops, post models, and convertible
models. the price is set at $27,500 with all serious offers
considered, should you wish to purchase the vehicle I will
require a 10% deposit of the sale price or 100% payment
of the sale price which ever you prefer, I will give you
an account number for deposit only in Colorado, I will hold
a deposit for 30 days only, if you back out of the deal
or have not paid the balance and picked up the vehicle in
30 days your deposit will not be refunded so please be sure
