A very nice looking car. The dash is red and black. Convertible headliner. Reproduction mirror on driver's side and original center mirror. Black interior rugs --- no mats. Small wear cracks in driver's seat, front floor carpet replaced due to wear --- no rust or holes. 5 Dunlap radials spare is brand new, others are in fair condition. Spare, jack and hand crank are available. Gauges are operational and intact, tach.
This 1952 MG is a TD, Mark II. MG produced aproximately 43,000 TD's, but manufactured only 1,740 Mark II's used to compete in the sports car race circuit. The Mark II has 2 sets of shocks for each wheel, a larger 1-1/2 inch SU carburetor, dual fuel pumps, an 8 inch clutch and a 57 horsepower engine.

Following an off-frame restoration in 1989, this car was stored until 1997 when we purchased it. The MG took many first and second place trophies when entered into car show competitions during the years we lived in New York State. Over the past 9 years, we have changed all the rubber, installed a new top and an oil cooler, put stone guards over the Lucas lights, installed an electric fan (to cool the engine while riding in summer traffic), added a luggage rack and purchased 5 new Dunlap radial tires to improve the ride. We also installed MGA gears so the car could travel at faster speeds on the highway, but we still have the original rear end along with many other original parts such as: fan, oil filter, generator, etc. The Porsche red paint is in good condition with only a few small stone chips and normal wear. The side curtains are in fair shape, the top is in very good condition. The rugs and upholstery are in fair to good condition. There are a few small wear cracks in the driver™s seat and we replaced a section of the front floor carpet that had become worn. The transmission was rebuilt last fall (the cluster, first, second and reverse gears are all new.)

In August of 2001, we drove the MG across country, from northern New York to Phoenix, Arizona. The car performed beautifully and we had a great time. We stored the car while we settled into our new home, and now, after three years, it's back on the road. It's still a great car and a fun ride. Offered for $28,500.00.
