1949 Studebaker Commander 4 Door Coupe

1949 Studebaker Commander 4 Door Coupe. Holiday Red exterior with Green interior. Overdrive, hill-holding, radio, crank up antenna, fog lamps, inside hood release. The car starts easily and runs well. The engine compartment is complete and stock. The dash, instruments and steering wheel are in very good condition. The door panels have the original alligator pattern vinyl like material above and original type fabric below. The door panels are in excellent condition. The Green carpet is in excellent condition. The headliner is in fair condition. The rear seat armrests are covered in the original alligator pattern vinyl like material that is in excellent condition. The drivers side and all four back glass sections of glass are in excellent condition. The grill, front bumpers and headlamps are in excellent condition. The body is straight with 10-year old medium Gloss Holiday Red exterior paint which is in very good condition. The trunk, tail lamps and rear bumper. All chrome was re-chromed 10 years ago. Originally sold by the Johnson Studebaker dealership in Kingfisher, OK --- dealership is still there. Sold to a farmer; last name, Crandall. Parked in barn in 1959 when gasoline went above 25 cents a gallon. Not moved again until 1980. Driven to Phoenix to sit in grandsons back yard until 1993. Given to me then, and I totally restored it; has been in my garage since 1996.
