1937 Lincoln-Zephyr 3-window coupe, VIN # H30748
This daily driver is RARE; the Lincoln Zephyr Owners
Club estimates less than 400 of these unusual and distinctive
cars have survived. Kustom street rod named THE PHANTOM
ZEPHYR, taking years, this all steel one piece welded
body and frame is the original unitized construction.
Designed by John Tjaarda of Brigg Manufacturing Company;
(one of the Ford Motor Companys body suppliers),
the Zephyr is hailed as advanced in both Art Deco styling
and construction by the New York Museum of Modern Art,
who recognized the teardrop Lincoln Zephyr
as the first streamlined car in America. The car was the
style leader among American automobiles in the years before
Steve Rice of Steve & Gordys Rod Shop, Redding
California found the car. Crafting 6 way adjustable suicide
shaved doors with euro mounts, handmade running boards,
frenched rear license plate, cut louvers in the rear fender
skirts and other cool custom body work. Then to Reno,
Nevada to Eric Collins of Final Finish to chop the top
by 4 inches. Carson City, Nevada was next for NHRA award
winning car champion Dennis Bress of D & W Fabrications
to modify, fabricate and assemble the car & chassis.

Chevrolet stroked 383 CI crate motor rebuilt to 400 HP,
all chrome front runner, all laser cut mirrored stainless
steel accents for under hood and engine compartment. Stainless
steel headers and tail pipes, custom built radiator, electric
cooling fan. Chevrolet 350 turbo automatic transmission,
B & M Custom Bandit shift kit with neutral safety
switch. Independent rear and front suspension, rack and
pinion power steering with front disc brakes, air ride,
custom wheels. LED brake, tail and signal lights, aluminum
fuel tank, aluminum battery box, Ultima battery, Taylor
full metal jacket plug wires, Ididit aluminum tilt steering
column. Custom fabricated steel center console and toe
kick, all original gauges restored and converted to 12
volt, custom made head light buckets, Autoloc snake eye
sealed beams, heater/air conditioner, power seats, power
windows, power door locks, safety door lock pins. Ron

cut and installed custom tinted glass to fit. The creative
team at Collins Upholstery, Fresno, California,
performed their magic for a rich classic interior.

Last stop, Brian Sotelo of Cause I Can Customs,
Fresno, California for final inspection, paint preparation
and body work to be sure the car was ready to paint. Brian
didnt just paint the car, he also designed the graphics.
Fresno based Brad Espinoza, AKA ESPO, outlined the graphics
and pin striped the car. This special car features (HOUSE
of KOLOR) Base Pearls Violette, Shimrin PBC 40 base paint
and Kosmic Acrylic Urethane Klear Coat UC 35, separately
painted body, hood, fenders, doors, and then assembled.
