Ford Model A United Parcel Delivery truck. VERY RARE!!!!

of United States Business History!!! Own this very unique
vehicle, add it to your collection!!! An
Original Sedan Delivery from the earliest days of Automotive
Commercial Marketing!!!The
UPS of today started with vehicles like this and they were
well cared for then as now. Starting in Seattle in 1907
as a messenger service, and changed to retail motorized
delivery in 1919. UPS has preserved its reputation by its
cardinal rule; “a wash every day” and “repair
every scratch the day it happens.” Rules to live by
for the classic car collector too!
Found
abandoned but still basically intact, the owner started
a life-saving project to resurrect this unique piece of
history on wheels, sparing no effort or expense. Very
recently completed restoration (2008), with few miles driven
since and properly stored. Craftsman used white oak wood
to duplicate the original. All brackets and hardware were
reconditioned. Wooden body and upper rear doors were skinned
with new aluminum to resemble original configuration, and
new oval windows were installed in the rear doors, and original
drip rail trim moldings were used. The body was primed and
painted the original paint scheme of brown and black and
pinstriped as per the original design. New upholstery covers
the seating surfaces.
Original
Ford 4 cylinder 40 horsepower completely rebuilt, re-bored,
decked, milled, new bearings, crank and camshaft, New pistons,
rings, timing gears, valves and seats, gaskets and seals,
rebuilt starter, generator, water pump, distributor, reconditioned
original radiator, new hoses, spark plugs and wires. Transmission
updates include new clutch disc, pressure plate and throw
out bearing, completely rebuilt with new bearings and seals.
Suspension
and steering systems received new kingpins, bushings, tie
rod ends, springs, wheel bearings, and grease seals. Rebuilt
steering gear with new bearings, seals, and adjusted re-arch
front spring. Rear differential rebuilt along with replaced
shackles, bushings, and re-arch springs.
Shocks
and brakes have been attended to and new duplicate of original
wiring installed to original specs. Even the Headlamp buckets,
Horn, wiper motor, and cowl lamps are original and have
been restored to “as new” condition.
Professionally
re-chromed front and rear bumpers, clamps, windshield frame,
emergency brake lever, spark and gas control levers, and
instrument glusten housing. New Ford script glass installed
in windshield.
A copy of appraisal
