29 all steel Ford Roadster is just as ole
Henry envisioned, 6v, mechanical brakes, etc.
Car was under
restoration by an elderly man who died ¾ of the
way through restoring it. Then it sat in dry storage some
15 years until I located it in Miami, Oklahoma.
Car has many
new parts including chrome bumpers, 5 brand new tires,
2 more spares that are very good. 21 wheels have
been powder-coated, 3 new spare tire covers, new top,
and lots of small parts too numerous to mention.
Car was painted
sometime in the 70s, paint is useable but
not for show, interior is very good with new floors. Moto-meter,
head lamp shades, 2 spare mounted rear view mirrors, wind
deflectors (glass side wings) one of which has broken
corner. New windshield wiper that has yet to be installed
with wiring harness. Radiator rock guard, side curtains
(that were never installed), brass step plates on running
boards that say Ford. Old
car runs/drives as most 29s, starts easy,
doesnt smoke or the like, or leak more then the
average Model A. Transmission and differential have no
noises or leaks. New exhaust, but exhaust manifold does
have a crack. I would have replaced it but I dont
have one with the fins for hot air heater.
twisted two cables since Ive had it, dont
know what the problem is. In some previous life, someone
mounted the right side spare tire well with brads. Works
okay but distracts from appearance. Charging
system and amp meter work well. Car
is very straight, no rust ever that I can find. I dont
think that the body has ever been off frame.
No rumble seat,
just a plain old trunk. Second (right side) tail light
is there but not hooked up. Windshield is original and
wavy with some scratches . Not a show car
but a very good driver. Offered
for $14,000 (firm).
