Vehicle Description
1929 Ford Hot Rod Roadster
For Sale By Owner
Offered For $27,900.00
1929 Ford Hot Rod Roadster. Dark Metallic British Racing Green with subtle Lime Green ghost flames. Interior upholstery is a striking Bright White simulated Leather. This model features a 350 Crate engine, 5.7L Walker Radiator, Pete Jackson gear drive (sounds like a blower whine), Pertronix ignition and Falme thrower coil. Electric fan with full radiator shroud. Turbo 400 transmission with Locar shifter and Ford 9" rear end. 8K miles on the motor, transmission and car. Dual exhaust. Premium chrome "TCI" front dropped tube axle and leaf spring ~ includes 4-bar links and Wilwood power disc brakes. Rear suspension includes 4-bar links, coilovers and Panhard bar and sway bar. This rod handles like a dream at any speed. Rear brakes are drum and all brakelines and tubing are stainless. All installed on Probuilt (Black powder coated. Chassis by JPL. Tall valve covers and lots of chrome. Sanderson headers with glasspacks (gives great mellow Hot Rod sound. Also has chrome dump tubes. Do you have the balls to remove the caps????
The exterior is pristine --- no rust --- body is Wescott fiberglass over steel frame construction. The paint is in excellent condition --- no dents, no missing or broken parts. The Bright White top matches the interior. Cluster VDO gauges mounted in Woodgrain panel. Note the 'KOOL' frames on the dash --- very nice touch. Also, "old school" Moon tach on steering column. Dual exterior mirrors. Interior is carpeted, floor and firewall. Note the Bright White simulated Leather wrapped around the steering column.....another nice touch to 'finish' the interior. Big/Little Hot Rod look adds to the raked front end --- P235/70R15 rears and 165/70R14 front tires. 15-gallon stainless steel tank --- open road gets 18-20 mpg; intown gets approximately 15-17 mpg.
Power brakes, Alpine AM/FM/Cassette/CD with trunk mounted Fosgate amp and premium speakers provide those great 50's/60's sounds even at 70-80 mph!!! As with any hot rod, this car is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty or merchantability. Although this rod was professionally built, it is not a "Trailer Queen" and gets driven daily. It handles on the freeway, as well as it does on the surface streets. It can be driven any where, coast to coast, without concern for breakdown or overheating. I show it in many shows in Arizona, and maintain it in "Show Car" condition. It turns heads and draws a crown wherever I go. The car was built in Pennsylvania, but was shipped "closed transport" to me in Arizona. It had fewer than 300 miles on it when I got it. The car is registered and titled as an original 1929. Offered for $27,900.00.
