have a very special Mack for sale. According to the original
Mack Trucks, Inc. Sales Ledger records and the chassis
building record, this AB Chassis #371910, was shipped
from the Allentown Factory on September 14, 1923, for
delivery to the Indian Refining Co., Richmond, Indiana.
The truck was used to transport fuel for gassing up heavy
duty equipment at a Texaco refinery for most if not all
it's life. It has a 1& 1/2 tons load capacity, Chassis
weight 6250, 144" wheelbase, Mack AB 4 cylinder engine,
Mack 4 speed forward, one reverse, direct drive in fourth
transmission, Dual reduction drive type. The tires are
rare truck is in exceptional condition. You will not find
another like it.
father purchased this Mack in 1976, in very rough condition.
He did the restoration work himself. He won numerous prizes
in Antique Auto shows and proudly showed it off in parades,
etc. It is still in beautiful condition. Daddy passed
away in 1988 and it has been garaged since then.
did all the restoration and was very meticulous. It took
him several years to find an original headlight at the
car show in Hershey Pa. He had the wood cut from logs
for the back.
siblings and I inherited the Mack after our Mother died
in 2009. We would love to see it be sold to someone who
will appreciate the aesthetic and sentimental value of
this treasure and love it as much as our father did.
